Recent and current positions:

Giuliano Bonoli is Professor of Social policy at the Swiss graduate school for public administration (IDHEAP), Lausanne, Switzerland.

 

Education:

He received his PhD at the University of Kent at Canterbury for a study on pension reform in Europe.

 

Fields of research and interests (key words):

He has been involved in several national and international research projects on the process of welfare state transformation, in particular on pension reform and has published extensively on these issues.

Recently he was involved in a EU project (Framework 5) on “Private pension and social inclusion in Europe”, dealing with the issue of pension coverage for atypical employees.

In Switzerland, he participates in a national research programme related to an important pension reform (12th AHV-AVS revision).
