This is the final Exchange Meeting RECWOWE on ‘Reconciling Work and Welfare in Europe: research findings and policy challenges’, held at the National Employment Committee of Belgium in Brussels.

The idea behind this meeting is to provide scope for dialogue at the EU level among social and employment policy analysts and representatives of the European political foundations regarding present and future challenges to the European social model following the recent economic and financial crisis.

The meeting (a half-day workshop) will be based on the dissemination of the major findings of our network of excellence and will represent a platform for improving dialogue between experts and political leaders.

After brief presentations from the researchers, representatives of the European political foundations will be asked to provide feedback on the research summary and the most evident challenges to social and employment policy in Europe. We look forward to a key contribution from them so as to improve the dialogue.
